We agree with EdB that out of information comes knowledge, but knowledge isn’t exclusive to the past. The colossal amount of information contained in expensively bound books and the snail’s pace academic exchanges of the last century became knowledge only for a relative few – those who could afford books or those with time to trawl the shelves of libraries – remember them?
